Community Description

Klimentovo is a village in Northeastern Bulgaria, part of Aksakovo Municipality, Varna Province. It is located 23 km from the city of Varna, 40 km from the town of Dobrich, and 16 km from the Albena resort. It lies on the main VarnaAlbena resort road. Elevation: 260 m. The terrain is variedhills and hollowsand the Batova River flows nearby. The climate is temperate continental, influenced by the proximity of the Black Seawinters are mild, and summers are cool.

Until 1942, the border with Romania ran less than a kilometer from Klimentovo. Even today visitors to the village wonder why there are several dormer windows on the roof of the municipal building. For years they served as observation posts for the border guard.
